Hollyn is an American pop and R&B singer songwriter known for her vibrant vocals, honest songwriting, and genre-blending sound. Born Holly Marie Wilson in Waverly Ohio, Hollyn first caught national attention as a contestant on season 12 of American Idol, where she advanced to the Hollywood rounds and introduced audiences to her raw talent and star potential.

Her breakthrough came through collaborations with multi-platinum artist TobyMac, appearing on his This Is Not a Test album on standout tracks like Backseat Driver and Lights Shine Bright, as well as the hit single Funky Jesus Music, which charted on multiple Billboard Christian charts. Those features helped launch Hollyn into the spotlight and solidified her place as one of the most promising new voices in pop and R&B.

In 2015, she released her self-titled EP Hollyn through Gotee Records, which debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. The EP included the fan favorite Alone, featuring Truett Foster, which climbed into the Top 15 on Christian Airplay and Top 5 on Christian Top 40 radio. She followed up with her debut full-length album One Way Conversations in 2017, showcasing her signature mix of emotional storytelling, bold melodies, and modern production. In 2019, Hollyn released Bye Sad Girl, continuing to evolve her sound and connect with fans through themes of growth, identity, and resilience.

Discovered by TobyMac after he saw her YouTube videos and reached out through a mutual connection, Hollyn’s career is rooted in authenticity and faith-driven inspiration. Her music reflects both personal experiences and a desire to encourage listeners to walk confidently in their purpose.

Now a wife and mother, Hollyn continues to create music that is relatable, uplifting, and emotionally real, blending pop energy with R&B soul and heartfelt lyricism. Whether on stage, in the studio, or through her recorded work, Hollyn brings passion, vulnerability, and unmistakable voice to everything she touches.
